While we frequently believe we know our spouses best, there are instances when we don’t. One woman revealed to her husband how she concealed a small secret from him.

Her phone’s battery was running low during dinner at a restaurant, so she switched it off to conserve energy. Later, she became anxious while driving home after realizing she couldn’t find her phone. She looked through her suitcase and the car, but she was unable to locate anything. She persuaded her spouse to drive an hour back to the restaurant out of panic.

The manager assisted them with their search after they arrived. Despite her husband’s frustration, they looked everywhere. She felt something in her jacket pocket in the midst of it all. Her phone had been there the entire time, much to her astonishment.

She chose to keep it a secret since she was embarrassed by her error and did not want to acknowledge it. She felt bad about making him travel back, so she said, “I didn’t want to admit it.” Rather, she made a pretense of using the restroom and returned with an explanation. Hiding the reality, she stated, “It was on the toilet tank.”

Her spouse is still unaware that she has had the phone with her the entire time. To spare herself more humiliation, she has decided to keep it a secret.
