Over the course of the time leading up to the event, Burnett participated in a number of interviews, one of which being an emotional one with *PEOPLE* in which she reflected on her late daughter, Carrie Hamilton.<\/p>\n
In 2002, at the age of 38, Carrie, who was both an actress and a singer, went tragically due to cancer. Every day, Burnett carries her memories with her, and she makes a note of the advice that Carrie gave her: \u201cEvery day I wake up and decide.\u201d<\/p>\n
